Mustafa Ilhan Akbas is pursuing his PhD in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Central Florida (UCF). Currently, he is working with Dr. Damla Turgut, in the Networking and Mobile Computing Lab (NetMoC). He graduated with a MS degree in Computer Option from Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, in December 2006 and a BS degree from the same  department in June 2003. He started working for ASELSAN Inc. when he was a senior in college and had worked there during his MS till he moved to US for his PhD.

Mustafa Ilhan Akbas is interested in various  research topics in wireless communication and networking. Currently, his research focuses on routing in wireless sensor networks and mobility of the sinks in wireless sensor networks.
